Christel and Neal's wedding!

Christel and Neal came over last night...we are so excited about their wedding and their future together! They asked the kiddos to be in their wedding...the kiddos were really excited, but by the time i decided to take a picture, they weren't in "the mood"....imagine that! =) But sally kept saying, "princess dress...princess shoes" and wesleygrant kept saying, "I am so excited i get to be a cowboy"....the things kiddos say....but we are so excited and honored! We love you two! I promise to put them through "bootcamp", Christel so that it will be a happy day when they walk down that aisle! =)

Back from Sudan!

Our dear friends, the Ramirez's and Jackie, just returned from Sudan this week. We had a dinner with them tonight to hear all the stories and celebrate all that God is doing there...and will do ahead. They brought us all very meaningful gifts...the kids were awesome! Sally put her african dress on right away! and of course her pink crocs...she'll be sporting this at church sunday for any of you austinstoners who want to see her in person! it is great! Thank you wonderful friends! We love you guys and are so proud of you!!

Theresa's 30th Birthday!

We celebrated my friend Theresa's 30th birthday- austin style! She just moved here this summer and we celebrated her birthday all day with austin treats and new friends! Love you theresa! Happy birthday again!!

Tawfik and his family

One of the students who came to visit karis at her birth, brought his family back for dinner. He and his wife have 4 children. Tawfik is from Lybia, Africa and his wife fromBulgaria...they are muslim. Tawfik is a student at the university. The evening wasn't quite as we'd "planned"...meaning me and stew kept having to take care of kids or answer important phone calls...but thankfully our friends, Joey and Krystal Shaw were there. We hope to have them again and truly talk more with them!

Sally's dance for her Grandpa and Great Grands!

This video is for Pa and Pepaw and Memaw....sally's grandfather and great grandparents. They love country music and my grandparents are very involved with a cowboy church that has taught us so much about community. We were watching some country music...forgive us, Pa, for not knowing who the famous one was...but sally and wesleygrant loved dancing to it! It was so hilarious! We often tease about our kids being "city kids" when they go visit their grandparents in the country. But even so, I believe there is a little "country" in them! We accidentally deleted a video of both kiddos....so Sally's will have to do for now...until next time! =) We love you Pa! We love you Pepaw and Memaw!!

Baby Karis

6 weeks old and 10lbs!

Karis continues to grow and become her part in our family! She is more awake and the kids love to hold her. Many have asked how the "transition to 3" has been....depends on who you ask...but I would say much easier than 2 was....i don't really know why. perhaps the experience or just once you have "crazy"...adding more "crazy" doesn't really change anything. =) Stew would say it has been harder, but that is b/c this is the first time he has to take care of 2 kiddos. He is having the "transition of 2" while I am the 3. So, I guess either way, we prove that 2 is a little harder to adjust than 3 has been. But even though each day is new discoveries, we really can't remember our life without Karis.

Off to Sudan

This morning we all woke up and headed to the airport with Jackie and many of our neighbors from our community group. We not only get to serve together with them in our neighborhood, but get to support them as they leave for Sudan for 18 days. We are so excited and can't wait to hear everything when they return! We will miss you Jackie, Lauren, Jonathan and Emily!!!

My father's wedding

We got to go to my dad's last weekend where he got married. It was a wonderful time! My mother passed away 2 years ago, as many of you know. Sandy has been such a given joy in my dad's life and ours. Her girls have been a huge joy as well!

I am so proud of you daddy! I respect you so much and have learned much from you over this last year. We are so excited for you and Sandy and love you both and Kassie and Alyx!!

Friends

If it weren't for people brining us meals, i don't think my kiddos would ever play with their friends during this "newborn season". We are so grateful to so many who continue to bring us food, fellowship, fun and helping hands....we lov you all and are so thankful for you!

Batman has been spotted

Need I say anything of this picture...=)

Battle with the House Fly

This was a week ago, but we had quite an adventure in our household and wanted to share. There had been a fly that none could catch and so Christel took over. She got the troops (Wesleygrant and Sally) and they did their "Warrior Stance" and chased the fly until they caught him! It was hilarious! We barely captured footage of the victory, but you can imagine what the chase they must have had....
